Why is this dog suddenly spastic?

alley87 asked:

Im watching my friends pitbull for a week. She usually is very well behaved when left at home for a few hours and i had no issue with her. But today i left for 3 hours and she terrorized my house. She has an issuse with window blinds. She likes to tear them down. She peed all over my bed and ripped all my clothes and tore down all the blinds and window coverings.. On top of that she will not eat, and hasnt for two days. What do you think is goin on.

I’d say your friend owes you some money for damages.
I’d also say that you were foolish to allow a strange dog to have full run of your home - unsupervised.

The dog is having separation anxiety , The best you can do is make the dog happy ,
play with her, take some of her pent up energy out of her ,
so throw a ball for her for 1/2 hour take her for a good run , Do this at least twice a day right now , Really tire he out before you leave her alone and try a baby gate and confine her to one room while you are gone , hope her owners will be back soon,

The dog might be missing her owners but I am not sure. It sounds to me like depression. I would suggest that when you leave, confine her to one room so that if she decides to go crazy again, it won’t be on your whole house. As for the not eating thing, this is very troubling. Is she still drinking? As long as she is still drinking, then she will probably be okay and will eat when she gets hungry enough. If she isn’t drinking then I would contact a vet. You might want to give her some things that smell like her owners if you can. This might comfort her and help calm her down. You could also play with her more and try to wear her out right before you go somewhere so she doesn’t have so much energy. I hope her owners get back soon and good luck.
