There’s a window in my Shower/Tub. What kind of treatment do I use?
asked:
I dont want to put a Curtain there because then it will get all wet and Mildewy. I dont want t put a tacky looking plastic or bag. I dont understand why people put windows in a shower, thats a real DUMB thing to do. I thought about Mini-Blinds, but is that really my only option? Im sure someone else has this kind of shower, what did you put in your shower?

There’s a film you can buy that makes it impossible to see in from the outside, but you can still see outside. I think you can find it a Home Depot or Lowe’s. I think the brand is Gila and it is about $15 for a roll of the film. There is a privacy kind that just darkens the window when viewed from the outside, and there is also the frosted glass kind that gives the look of frosted glass.

I just moved into a place with the same problem. I’m just interested to see the answers you get.

Yu can go to Home Depot to get a product that is applied diredtly to the glass. It comes in varios styles from frosted glass look to stain glass look

Depending on the current wall material, u can frame it in, use tile backer board and tile with decorative tile or shelves to hold toilettes

use spray etching (Home Depot, Lowes). when you move, if you are renting, it scrapes off easily with a razor blade.

There is a permanent etching cream available at craft stores and probably paint stores. It will give you a frosted window. My sister solved her same problem using this product. In fact, she found a stencil and put a border on her window and it is lovely.
You just must be very careful using this product, as it is an acid based product.
