Themes for Windows Xp. How can I make them work?

I have downloaded some Xp themes from websites like appleblossomart. How can I make them work? I dont want to use softwares like Windows Blind that shall slow down the computer and often come with packs of trojan. Is there any other way? some one says it can be done by modifying a system file. how can that be done?

You can use a file called “UXTheme Multi-Patcher” to replace your XP default file that allows you to use new themes. BTW these themes are called “Styles”.
