Is it wrong to put Window Covers/Curtains over a window that has blinds?

um..no. That’s what I have - Roman Blinds in the living room with just a valance. Bedroom acutally has blinds, a shear panel and side curtains

No, it softens the look of the blinds….maybe hides them if you don’t like the look of the verticals.

Of course not. To me, blinds are for privacy and curtains and valances are for decoration.

I am not sure what you mean by treatments. I have curtain’s over my blinds.

No it is not wrong… I would recommend it… Go to JC Penney’s they have a great site where u can check out different kinds of treatments on different types of windows, and they will let you change the carpet and wall colors to give you a better idea!

Seems a bit strange, when you already have something doing the work of curtains but then put on a second set.
But still, you can do what you like, it’s your place.

It’s fine to do that, in fact it looks much nicer than just the blinds alone. Gives you better options for light-control and privacy, too. And when the blinds are pulled back, you’ll just see the curtains, which is a nicer look, I think. Do whatever you think looks best! Good Luck!

You don’t need to have both but a decorative drapery can soften the harder look of the blinds. I do a single panel on either side of my windows just for that reason. They are not there to add anything more than a look.

If you want to use long panels, why not just take down the verticals. If you are renting, you could store them until you are ready to move and than just put them back. If you want to leave them up, then a top treatment is all you really need. Verticals with long draperies seem a bit heavy and redundant.
