How to keeps cats from clawing at window screens safely?
Lil♥Dove asked:
What is a safe non cruel way to keep a cat from clawing window screens and blinds? Is there something we can spray on them that will distract the cat from wanting to mess them. My boyfriends cat is an indoor cat and does not care for being outside at all. But she will sit in the window and claws holes in the screen. Doesn’t try to get out, just wants that screen torn lol. And same with the blinds, we have to keep them up most of the time because she will tear them down. Is there a safe spray or non-chemical item that can be put on the screens to distract her from them?

you can get Orange Bitter at pet stores that will stop cats from clawing and biting furniture. Maybe try that.
Good luck!

Spray 50/50 vinegar/water solution in the screen. They **** the smell.I also use it o furniture and drapes to keep my kitty from shredding them. It’s works well for years

when you see your cat doing a behavior you wish would stop. buy a spay bottle fill it with water and when you see her doing something spay her with the water and say “NO” it doesn’t hurt and it doesn’t have chemicals. but they do not like it and they learn not to do that any more.

go to pet smart and grt these things called soft claws, they r little claw covers all u have to do is glue them on i promise it will not hurt ur cat one bit, i have them for my cat, but they cost $21 plus tax.
