how do you repair window blinds?

there are extra blind blades at the bottom of the actual blinds. but how do you repair them? why do they have extras if you cant repair them, but i dont see how you can do it because of the cords that go through the middle of the three spots on the blinds.
I have to do this to get my deposit back for my apartment. and I am the only one who can do this. So please some instructions!

Slowly and carefully. It is not a difficult job, just time consuming and tedious. If you have never done it before, don’t touch it. Get some-one that knows what he/she is doing.
