How can keep my dogs and cats from breaking my window blinds?

Rawr asked:

They will put their heads through the blinds to look out and the blinds *****. I’;ve tried toys and even leaving the blinds up some, but eventually something happens and they get to them.

Mine do it too its going to cost me a fortune to move out of my apt all my blinds are broken somewhere. As long as I leave the blinds up and tie up the cord I don’t have any problems.

sprinkle a little cyan pepper powder on the blinds, it will deter them from getting around the blinds in just a few attempts…

Repellent. My grandmother would use this on the carpets and such to keep them from clawing them. They don’t like the smell. They also make ones that smell like sour apple and what not but it’s very unpleasant for the pets but not for humans.

Cats have a natural desire to climb and frollic about the house always curious. I have three cats and the way i teach them anything is with a spray bottle of water spiked with vineger when they near your blinds give them a ****** it will work!!!!! And with your dogs they are very curious also but for different reasons.Dogs have a sense of prottection and because of this they want to see what is outside they want to know what is out there and what is coming.best bet for them is to go ahead and leave your blind open a few inches so that they may look out.
